Berta has over ten years of experience. She worked in the economic and commercial office of Spain in Cairo (ICEX) and started working as a legal advisor in Dubai helping Spanish companies willing to invest, establish or open up market in the United Arab Emirates (RLD). After that, she worked in the commercial law department at BDO. She continued her career as a transactional lawyer in connection with international projects with a high technological component in large multinationals (Indra, Accenture). Berta holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE (E3) and a master in International Business Administration at the Menéndez Pelayo International University (ICEX).

Berta joined Columbus team in 2018 as secretary-general of the board of directors. She provides support in the formalization, organization and preparation of the information needed for the incorporation of venture capital funds and investment vehicles, as well as to obtain the authorizations from the regulatory agencies. At the same time, she provides legal and contractual advice in connection with seed capital operations and investments and innovative projects, especially regarding M&A matters and investment agreements. In addition, she gives advice in the field of biotechnology contracts and strategy related to intellectual and industrial property.
