Marc Marco is a Partner at Columbus Venture Partners and Managing Director of the management company, where he leads the financial and legal departments.

Marc has more than 15 years of experience as a financial and tax advisor for biotechnology and healthcare companies, with a specialization in R&D tax incentives. He began his professional career in the tax field in 2005 at his family firm, EGE Agora, where he soon took over as Managing Director (June 2007). In 2016, he started collaborating with the technology-based business consultancy Acella Incubator, where he was responsible for the financial area and served as CEO.

He has held the role of Chief Financial Officer in various biotechnology companies, including PTS, Viralgen, Syngoi, and the Columbus Foundation. He has participated in the planning and structuring of multiple corporate groups, taken part in several startup due diligence processes, and secured financing for startups totaling more than €100 million. Notably, he designed and executed a €30 million syndicated loan for Viralgen Commercial.

Marc holds a degree in Business Administration and Management and a Master’s in Management Control and Finance from the University of Valencia (2007), as well as a Master’s in Taxation from the College of Economists of Valencia (2010).
