At Columbus Venture Partners, we continue to drive projects that are transforming biomedicine while delivering outstanding returns. That is why we have once again invested in Integra Therapeutics, a portfolio company that has just closed a new €10.7 million funding round.
Integra Therapeutics is developing an innovative next-generation gene editing platform designed to increase the safety and efficiency of correcting genetic diseases. This technology has the potential to become a key tool in the development of advanced therapies that improve health and change the lives of thousands of patients. The investment will also support the validation of new CAR-T therapies in preclinical phase, and the advancement of its first proprietary therapeutic program for a rare pediatric liver disease, with the aim of reaching the clinical stage in the coming years.
This round brings on board the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the Spanish Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation (CDTI), alongside the continued support of the company’s initial investors. A milestone that consolidates both institutional and international confidence in Integra’s potential.
Founded in 2020 as a spin-off of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) by Dr. Marc Güell and Dr. Avencia Sánchez-Mejías, Integra Therapeutics is headquartered at the Advanced Therapies Platform of Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, a leading environment for translational research.
“Our participation in this round, alongside other specialized international funds, reinforces Columbus VP’s commitment to the most disruptive science and to companies capable of generating a real impact on society. We invest in projects that, in addition to offering high returns, help address unmet medical needs and strengthen the biotech ecosystem in Spain and Europe,” explain Damià Tormo and Javier García, General Partners at Columbus Venture Partners.
At Columbus Venture Partners, we believe the future of health is built on innovation, knowledge, and investment commitment. Integra Therapeutics is a clear example of how scientific talent, supported by a solid financial strategy, can transform medicine and open new opportunities for both patients and investors.
